Revised: 3.6.2003 Official USA Clan Rules
I. Membership
A. A clan member is defined as a person who has officially been enlisted into the USA, and who agrees to follow and abide by its terms and policies, and who consistently shows effort by attending practices and matches (as applicable) to their best effort. B. A member may be dropped at any time for not abiding to the rules or missing too many practices and/or matches at the clan's expense. Foul play such as using glitches in applicable maps online or badmouthing consistently towards an opponent with provocation, will also not be tolerated. C. The only way one may join the clan is by getting in contact with either the clan leader or the clan co-leader, OR by being chosen from an officially run USA tryout.
II. Practices
A. Clan members are obliged to attend as many USA run practices as possible. This is not only to help the clan work as a more cohesive unit, practice skills, and encourage communication, but to also make regular attendance a habit. If you are unable to attend a practice, please notify either Dogmeat. B. All practices are announced at least 2 days prior to the practice, so contacting Dogmeat of the absence should not be a problem. Repeated absences from practices for no apparent reason will not be tolerated, and that member will be dropped immediately. An email to Dogmeat will excuse you from the practice, no matter what the reason.
III. Matches
A. All scheduled matches are mandatory for members to attend. Again, if you cannot show, please email Dogmeat. A few people who cannot attend can be tolerated; matches only allow to have 8 people on a side, so even if everyone shows for a match, some will have to sit out. B. Clan matches are meant to be played to the utmost fairness of both sides involved. Using glitches in maps that have them will not be accepted, and anyone observed to be using a glitch during an official match will be notified immediately. One warning will be issued to that member, and another violation of using glitches will get you booted. C. Likewise, if another team is observed of using glitches, and this is confirmed by either the leader or co-leader of the clan, then the round will be considered a win for the USA. If another instance of glitching is abused by the opposing team, then the match is over and USA wins the match. D. Badmouthing to opposing teammates in the chat rooms on SOCOM is also a bad move. Constructive arguing or criticism is OK; throwing consecutive obscenities and swears at other players is NOT. Think before you type, because it could get you booted from the clan if it happens consistently. |
